Microsoft buyout seen as challenge to Google's Android

Though rebuffed in its $44.6-billion offer to buy Yahoo!, Microsoft's recent announcement that it is buying Palo Alto-based mobile phone maker Danger is seen to challenge Google's open-source Android mobile platform, says analyst Ovum.
